Emily Huggins RN, BSN, MHA, CEN, SANE-A, SANE-P

 

Emily Huggin's career encompasses a variety of nursing roles. Working in acute care, community health, long-term care, and emergency services has provided her with an understanding of the complexity of the healthcare market.  Emily has been providing forensic nursing care for almost twenty years.  In addition to direct patient care, her role as manager of the forensic nurse program includes development and implementation of policy related to forensic nursing practice, coordination of quality improvement initiatives, staff education for WellSpan Health, and serving as a consultant to community agencies for education, coordination of care, and public speaking needs.

 

Emily holds certifications as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Adult Adolescent, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Pediatric, and Certified Emergency Nurse. She serves on multiple state and local committees including the Pennsylvania Children’s Advocacy Center Advisory Committee, the Pennsylvania Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Minimum Standard Committee, the York County Children’s Advocacy Center Advisory Panel, and the Pennsylvania Forensic Nurse Practice Council.
